Alberta-Colombia Relations
- The Government of Alberta has led eight oil and gas trade missions to Colombia in the past seven years, with a total of approximately 90 participating companies.
- The Canada-Colombia Free trade Agreement, signed in 2008 came into force on August 15, 2011, providing a key boost for Canadian companies in the sectors of agriculture, information and communications technologies, mining, oil and gas and services.
- The Alberta government has contributed matching grants to Alberta nonprofit/voluntary sector organizations for several humanitarian projects in Colombia that have focused on capacity building, the disabled, safe water, education, and agricultural development for food security.
