- Denmark is an open, innovative and export-focused economy with relatively low trade barriers. The innovation system in Denmark is well developed and has a wide range of support for start-up companies, including access to early-stage funding, cluster networks and regional growth centers.
- Signed in October 2016, the Canada EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) was provisionally applied in September 2017. Tariff elimination and other provisions will enhance the competitiveness of Canadian exports.
- Denmark has an industrialized economic base, which is dependent on foreign supplies of most raw materials.
